About US
Harvest Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church network which stretches across Australia, in every State and Territory. Each of our Sunday gatherings includes all the essential things you might expect at church, like:
- hearing God’s word read from the Bible
- listening to an engaging message that seeks to explain how we should respond to God's word
- spending time in prayer, and singing some songs in praise of God
- meeting friends and making new ones

More SUNDAY info
Kids matter - An important place in our church family are the children who attend. We provide an opportunity for them to hang out together with their group leader who spends time explaining the Bible and how it applies to them and their lives. This Kids Ministry takes place after they have spent time together with the adults singing and praying, and while the adults spend their own time learning from the Bible.
Adults matter - During our time of praise a collection of money takes place to fund the ministry of the church both here, in our community, and elsewhere. If you’re visiting please don’t feel obliged to contribute. However, our regulars find this is a great way to share God's provisions to support local and global needs.
Everyone matters - During our time together you will get to know members of the church who lead the service and make announcements. Please don’t hesitate to approach them afterward – they’ll be very happy to respond to any enquiries you may have.
mid-week info
During school terms we have mid-week groups when people gather to read, study and reflect on what God says in the Bible. These are opportunities to hang out together, learn, and encourage one another. Different groups meet on a range of days and times, to suit people's needs and availability in this busy world.

other info
We also seek to help and serve each other in various practical ways, whether that's during our Sunday gatherings or anytime in any day of the week. For example, we have been welcomed into local schools and aged-care residences to both share our lives and to share our understanding of Jesus. We use music and teaching skills to connect with others and to convey our message of God's love for people.
Plus, we give support to those who need help with transport, or managing life's concerns ...like shopping.

FOR THE CURIOUS
The most recent Australian Census (2021) has revealed (see the Australian Bureau of Statistics ABS website) that Christianity is on a downward slide, with a growing number of Australians declaring they have no religious affiliation. The ABS says, "Almost 10 million Australians reported having no religion." That doesn't necessarily equate to most Australians not believing in the existence of God, ...but one could assume that God is not usually on their radar!
One person who had a particular view of God was the 19th Century German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who declared: “God is Dead”. The Bible challenges that assessment.
For those who are curious to know more about the Living God and more about Christianity, we have a simple resource titled 'Christianity Explained' which can be presented over a short period of time. We have other resources which support more in-depth enquiry for those with an interest in knowing God, especially people who have no church background at all.
